Job Responsibilities
- Working with school district’s Human Resource, Payroll, and Accounting departments to troubleshoot/provide assistance
- Communicate with clients through a variety of support channels (email, phone, live chat)
- Liaise between clients and various internal departments to resolve problems
- Document resolutions in helpdesk
As an Application Specialist, you can expect to work closely with our district partners to assist with any application related questions.
Common HR inquiries include:
- Salary changes for current and future years
- Attendance, including added attendance days & importing into Systems 3000 via a 3rd party
- Adding new employees into the Personnel application
- Medical Plans – including updating the medical plans & activating/terminating medical plans for employees
- Tracking employee credentials
- Running reports
Common Payroll inquiries include:
- Running payroll
- Entering in hourly employee’s timesheets
- Creating new payroll definitions
- Voiding & reissuing payroll checks
- Validating reports
- Interfacing with Doculivery employee portal
- Running reports
- Processing Quarterly Reports
Common Accounting inquiries include:
- Printing checks
- Entering Purchase Orders
- Remote Requisitions
- Balancing Cash with Bank
- Monthly Reports for the Board
- Building Future Years
- Running reports
Skills:
- Understanding of (or willingness to learn about) payroll and accounting and personnel practices for NJ school district
- Ability to adapt to frequent changes
